It’s SEW Simple—Beginner Sewing—Diane Sandler, Instructor
Three Thursdays—May 8th, May 15th and May 22nd from 6:30 to 8:30 pm
Beginner Level, Adult
Registration: $72—Registration limited to 8 students
Materials required to bring to class: sewing machine, pattern, fabric and notions for project, pins, shears, tape measure and seam ripper
Has your sewing machine been sitting in the attic since 1990? Do you look at the price tags of clothing these days and think, “I wish I could make that”? Is your son or daughter asking for a real Halloween costume instead of the old sheet? Then maybe it’s time to take a sewing class! Things have changed since Junior High Home Economics classes. Patterns are more fashionable and equipment is better. And you have a lot more patience now than you did back then! Sewing has become an art form and a creative outlet, too. You get to pick out the style, fabric, color and trim that suits you, not the designer. Even better, it will fit you properly, as well.
Diane Sandler is an accomplished chef and seamstress who has many years experience teaching sewing classes in the greater Marlborough area. She is a "Family and Consumer Science" teacher in the Windham school system.

Come learn how to use Precious Metal Clay, PMC, to turn articles of nature into pure, fine silver. Precious Metal (Silver) Clay is a substance made of pure silver powder enrobed in an inert organic binder that makes it moldable like modeling clay. Once fired in a kiln (off-site, between classes), the organic binder burns off and 99.99% silver clay pieces remain. In this class, the students will use real botanicals from nature to mold silver jewelry—leaves, flowers, twigs, and more.
