The Marlborough Arts Center is thrilled to welcome Lara Herscovitch, an acclaimed singer-songwriter, poet, and former Connecticut State Troubadour. 

A mainstay of the New England folk scene, Herscovitch blends masterful contemporary folk with touches of blues, pop, and jazz. 

The Boston Globe praises her "luminous voice and a buoyant stage presence," highlighting her big-hearted lyrics that capture the depth of the human experience.

What makes Herscovitch’s music uniquely powerful is her background. Holding a Master of Social Work, she spent decades working in global humanitarian aid and justice system reform. 

This deep intellect and empathy shine through her authentic, witty, and uplifting storytelling. Whether performing solo or with her band, The Highway Philosophers, she delivers a deeply moving experience centered on hope, resilience, and human connection. 

Bring yourself, a friend and your own beverages (wine, beer, etc) & nibbles. Sit where you like among the chairs and bistro tables. Other non-alcoholic beverages often available.
