Described as a “communicative player with natural musicality,” American classical guitarist Nick Cutroneo is a performer and pedagogue active onstage and online. He studied at the Juilliard School Pre-College with Antigoni Goni and holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Classical Guitar Performance from The Hartt School, where he studied with Richard Provost and was in the Performance 20/20 honors program.

As a soloist and chamber musician, Nick has performed in the U.S. and Italy. He has appeared with ensembles including the New England Guitar Quartet, Tempo del Fuoco, and the Connecticut Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra. 

He won the Miami String Quartet Competition, was a finalist in the Hartt School’s Paranov Concerto Competition, and was a semifinalist in the Boston GuitarFest Adult Competition. He has premiered works by Frank Wallace, Colin Britt, Sean Pallatroni, and Dan Lis, who dedicated a guitar concerto to him.

Nick maintains a private studio, drawing on long-term Suzuki guitar pedagogy training with David Madsen. He serves on the faculties of Central Connecticut State University and Bay Path University. 

He also shares lessons, performance videos, and live practice sessions with over 133,000 followers on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Twitch.
