In watercolor class this fall, we will take a non-traditional approach and heighten our painting experience by adding the opaque medium of Gouache to our palettes. Many well known artists have combined both watercolor and gouache with great success. Both are water-based media and complement each other beautifully!

Come play and expand your watercolor techniques while investigating the potential for image making. Whether you paint realistically, love Impressionism or developing an eye for abstraction, exercises and creative projects will be offered to encourage individual development. We will proceed with class critiques to gain a broader perspective on what works in a painting.

As we continue to learn about the nature of color, transparency and opacity, we will continue to study papers, brushes and watercolor brands. Bring your supplies and materials to class, there are no material fees.
